Vionnet opened its first atelier in 1912, in Paris. The technique of cutting prominent is the peculiarity of Vionnet’s style, it enhances the elasticity of the tissues allowing unexpected drapery effects. Vionnet does not only decorate the body, but uses dynamic forms to harmonically outline woman’s figure. The fabric becomes sculptural material and the dress is a real artistic production. Goga Ashkenazi, new creative director, features the latest collection with combining and re-interpreting formal and casual, daywear and evening wear, bold and unconventional.
